Ongoing Community Crisis Relief Efforts

OUR COVID-19 CRISIS RESPONSE

New York City, our hometown, was one of the areas hit hardest and earliest by COVID-19. We faced a severe shortage of personal protective equipment for our doctors, nurses, and other medical staff on the front lines of this pandemic. COVID-19 also has had a disproportionate impact on BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities and those in poverty.

To help our local communities, in early April 2020, Master & Dynamic donated 10,000 N95 face masks to New York-Presbyterian and Mount Sinai Hospitals to keep our healthcare heroes safer as they fought COVID-19.

In late April 2020, we held a Friends & Family Sale. With our customers’ support, we donated enough meals to feed over 80,000 New Yorkers for one day through City Harvest, New York’s largest food rescue organization, which helps to feed all New Yorkers who are struggling to put meals on their tables, and delivers food to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens and other community partners.

In late November 2020, we once again supported City Harvest through our Black Friday sale.

SUPPORTING THE BLACK COMMUNITY

In support of Black Lives Matter, we donated 10% of July 2020’s sales to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

In December of 2020, Master & Dynamic collaborated with artist Temi Coker on a collection of sound tools, of which 100% of profits benefitted the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights.

In June of 2021, Master & Dynamic donated 10% of sales from all U.S. purchases to Know Your Rights Camp founded by Colin Kaepernick.
